My Unconventional Lover: Seeing A Different World

Chapter 81

At least, that’s what Uncle Ben told us. It was hard to believe what Uncle Ben said, but I also had no way to prove that he was lying. The only thing I could do was to meet him and have a long conversation about it.

But, planning was easy; doing it for real required time and trick.

Of course, I had some very good reasons to say so.

First, it was almost the end of semester, which meant I was busy with my final project for the semester. The amount of project that needed to be done was enough to make me forget the night I was assaulted by my ex’ shadow wife.

Second, every time I finally had time to rest and thought about things other than my projects, I was always dealing with some astral entities that were trying to harm me in some ways. Fortunately, I was always with either Sanji or Tom. There were times when I was not with any of them but with my ordinary friends who could not see ‘them’, all I could do was trying to find any excuse, believable or not, and ran away.

I even ran away from Kunti!

.....

Who could be so powerful to manipulate her?

I knew Kunti was not the most powerful ghost out there, but the fact that she could change her appearance into a normal human proved that she did has some power inside. If someone were to manipulate her, it meant this person was really powerful.

I wonder who could this person be? The target was me, surely it must be someone I knew, right?

Not to mention this person could also persuade Amanda.

Because of those reasons, I spent almost a month ignoring and dodging the attack directed at me. Of course, it was not an easy feat. That was why Tom and Sanji always tried to stay with me in any occasions. If they were not with me, well, I could only run away and hide in my newest and best hiding place; the infirmary.

For some reason, they couldn’t enter or find me there. After that, I would wait on Sanji or Tom to come and pick me up.

I seriously needed to learn some tricks to protect my own self against these ghosts.

Apparently, because the frequency of Sanji being with me increased, I gained more human enemies. Jealousy was indeed scary. At least, I didn’t need to run for my life when I dealt with them. A bit of threat would scare them away. And I was not someone who couldn’t protect my own self against physical bullying. I always brought a recorder with me just in case I needed to protect myself against some unjust accusations.

So what if one of those stupid and love-struck girls’ father was a lawyer?

What if one of them was a policeman?

I made sure to multiply the recording so if something were to happen to the recording file, I still had some back ups with me.

Try deleting all of those, I dare you!

Not to mention I had Sanji to back me up; my ultimate problem solver!

Well, I was confidence I could deal with humans anytime, but dealing with ghost was something I didn’t know how.

Was there any way to learn it?

If someone were to ask me whether I felt tired with how I lived my life, I wouldn’t deny it. YES, I felt exhausted! But, I had other goals in mind that could distract me for a while. Thankfully I still had my peaceful time in my dorm to rest my body and mind.

Talking about my dorm, I thought most of them would move out after what had happened before. But, I didn’t see them making a move. It was like everything came back to how it was before, like the fight between Tom and Amanda had never happened.

Well, I thought it was the best outcome that could happen after all.

After two exhausting weeks, I finally had time to rearrange my mind. My first plan was to visit Uncle Ben. Surely Tom still remembered his uncle’s house, right?

There were so many things that I wanted to ask to Uncle Ben.

The next one was probably to help Kunti, which led to the next question. How could I do it?

Maybe Uncle Ben could give me some pointers about it.

The last one was not final. I only gave it a slight thought but the weight of this issue was too strong for me to ignore. However, I needed to consult about it with the others; Sanji and Tom.

I wanted to help Senior Rizal.

I didn’t think Sanji and Tom would agree to it, but at least I tried to say it to them. To convince them, I needed solution on how to help him. If I could ensure them about the plan and not marched forward blindly, I was sure I was not going to get rejected.

“Jane, have you checked on your exams?” Mia’s voice pulled me out from my own world. As I turned my head to look at her, I noticed the helpless look Senior Dino and Senior Mario had on their face.

What was it? I bet he must be hiding something from me.

“I have. How about you?” I asked her, ignoring the look on both of the men behind her.

Mia nodded. “I couldn’t see Sanji. Where is he?” She was looking around as she sat beside me.

I shrugged my shoulders in response. Why did I have a bad premonition? It was like calm before the storm. What were they trying to say?

“Did Amanda come to you?” Senior Mario asked.

Here we go! I could roughly guess about what they wanted to talk about.
